New Park Planned for Southeast Cabarrus

Cabarrus County  is planning a new community park for the southeast region of the county. The 190-acre park land is on a beautiful site filled with trees and features a large pond, a creek, and other unique natural amenities. Located off Highway 601 near Wallace Road in Midland, the park is being planned as a destination for the entire region.

Thank you for all of your input and suggestions through the online survey and other sources.  The Cabarrus County Commissioners approved the Final Master Plan on Jan 19th, 2010.  We are now in the process of preliminary design so check back often for updates.
